Web Design/Development

KCWI23.com

As Webmaster at KCWI Television, I have been responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the KCWI website. The website is currently hosted on the Worldnow content management system, with several "widgets" designed by me. If you look at the site, there is a flash DTV countdown on the front page, which I designed. There are many more parts to this site which I have created from scratch due to the need for dynamic content and visually pleasing elements.

GOLD Leaders.org

This website is for the Global Organization for Leadership and Diversity, a non-profit that "provides leadership training, exchange programs, and a professional network for current and future women leaders across the Pacific." I designed and developed this site using Macromedia Dreamweaver and Adobe Photoshop.

CCRA

This website is for the Chemical Corps Regimental Association, an association that supports past and current members of the Chemical Corps of the United States and their families. The website was a flash template that I edited to include the logo and content. I created he rotating content on the front page, which is database-driven.

MCHS Language Arts Website

This is a mockup for a proposed website for the Mason City High School's Language Arts Department

Teacher's Website

This is a Drupal site for an English teacher at MCHS. I administer this site, as well as make changes to modules to fit the needs of the teacher.

Two-Dimensional

MCEA Logo

This logo was created pro-bono for the Mason City Education Association of Mason City, Iowa. It was created using Adobe Photoshop.

KCWI Business Card

I redesigned the business cards for KCWI, since they wanted both KCWI and KDMI's logos on the card. The radiating circles symbolize the "signal" of the stations, and the star in the middle is part of the CW's iconography, which symbolizes celebrity.

Three-Dimensional

Dolphin Dreams

This image was created using Maya and Rhinoceros 3D. It started as an assignment for one class, to include a model of a dolphin in a scene, and incorporate a theme of dreams. The image that resulted was that of a trapped dolphin, dreaming of freedom. It was further refined in another class on texturing and rendering.

Centipede

This is an accurate organic model of scutigera coleoptrata, or a common house centipede. It was created for a digital modeling class, using Rhinoceros 3D. The polygon count is somewhere in the millions for this model, though since it was created in Rhinoceros 3D, a NURBS modeling program, it can just as easily be output as a low-poly model.

Blender

This is an accurate model of a blender, which I happen to own. Click on the image to see a side-by-side comparison. This was created using Rhinoceros 3D.

Tiltbed

This is one of many trailers I have assisted in designing in my current job at Kiefer Built horse trailers. I used Autodesk Inventor.
